South African University Student Gets R14 Million Deposited Into Student Account By Mistake!

August 30, 2017

A student at the Walter Sisulu University had R14 million deposited into their student account by the university themselves. This R14 million came from the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (Nsfas).

The student was aware of the large deposit but allegedly never told anyone. The deposit was made 5 months ago.

Photos have surfaced online showing how the student splurged on at least on party and luxury goods including a cellphone.

The university is going to investigate why the student did not say anything.
