The Franschhoek forest fires and how the helicopters and aeroplanes work to put it out.

The Western Cape has experienced some hectic fires this year so far… with many people suspecting that the fires have been purposefully started.

The forest fire in Franschhoek was ablaze for about 3 days with fire fighters, helicopters and airplanes working tirelessly to put the flames out.

“There were planes and helicopters in fighting from the air and men on the ground beating and creating fire breaks to make sure the fire was restricted to the mountainside. These men risk their lives everyday and are all the true heroes of Franschhoek.”
